Falling by Emma Kavanagh ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was kindly sent this book for review by Netgalley. This book is set in th UK and is about a plane that crashes, smashing in two and leaving just a handful of survivors. On the same day a woman's body is discovered. She has been murdered. The story then follows four different characters. Cecilia is an air stewardess who had left her husband Tom and their 3 year old son to go and start a new life the day the plane crashed. Tom, a policeman and Cecilia's husband is in charge of investigating the murder. Jim, a retired police officer and also the father of the murder victim. Finally we have Freya who is the daughter of the pilot who was flying the plane that crashed.

The story is one of grief, survival and getting over the past. There is also the mystery of how and why the plane crashed and who murdered the woman and why.  It was difficult in the beginning to see how all the different stories would come together but they did pretty quickly. I thought that I had guessed the ending to this story but I was wrong. I was quite surprised by the ending which is always a good thing!
