My Haunted Life by G.Michael Vasey. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.  This is a book of short, true life, paranormal ghost stories that the author has experienced himself throughout his life. It is a very short book and very easy to read in one sitting. Whilst reading this book it felt like I was sat in a room listening to him telling me of his paranormal experiences. There is no theatre with this book, nor at any point did I think that he has exaggerated or added to any of the stories for effect he just tells the stories as he recalls them. I am unsure whether or not the author would want to experience any further paranormal experiences as he doesn't look for them they just seem to happen to him, but I would love to read more of his stories if there are any.  This is just the book that I was looking for but never found at Halloween.

Planet Me by A.D.Moreton. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was kindly given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

To be totally fair to the author this is a genre that I do not normally read. The book is basically a middle aged man having a rant about a variety of different subjects.  I really wanted to love this book but I think that the main reason that I didn't was because I could not relate to most of the subjects that he was ranting about such as Petrol, Airports, France & Road Signs. I spent most of this book thinking that any one of my male relatives would enjoy this book a lot more than I was. I know this is bit of a blanket statement but I really think that men get irritated by different things than women do. I did laugh out loud at a few of the things that he said in this book but in my opinion it was just okay.

If I came across this book in the bookshop, especially now leading up to Christmas I would consider purchasing it for a male relative.

Why we dream: The definitive answer by Joe Griffin and Ivan Tyrell. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was kindly given this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This book is a non fiction book which deals with the subject of why we dream as the title suggests.

Why we dream: the definitive answer tells the remarkable story of how Joe Griffin discovered how and why dreaming evolved in mammals and helped us unravel what our dreams actually mean. Thanks to Griffin's work we now know what dreams are doing for us: they keep us sane, or, in certain circumstances, can drive us mad (psychotic).

Although this book offers some interesting theories I did not buy into everything that was said in this book though. Being somebody who has researched dreams and sometimes logs dreams, a lot of what was said I have read lots of times before. My favourite parts of this book was the actual dream diaries and the theories put forward applied to the said dreams. There was also some interesting reading about psychosis and depression. I have never read anything on these subjects before which relates to dreams.
